A dot of an island in central Indonesia, Bali has a lot to offer to tourists. Activities range from a gastronomic experience, shopping to visiting places of historical importance, temples and pilgrimages, hiking, trekking, a face off with a volcano and just relaxing at the beach. On the way out from the airport, one cannot miss the numerous standalone houses, each one of which has got temples inside.
The Ulun Danu Temple or the floating Hindu temple on the shores of Lake Baratan Bedugul is situated on a plateau area. It’s often said that during monsoon, the lake fills up and the eleven storied temple looks like it is floating on water.
