Gorgeous, luxury personified, exceptional service- I could go on and on praising Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa where I stayed during my recent trip to Mauritius. Rightly so as Beachcomber is one of the largest hotels in the Indian Ocean and a pioneer of Mauritian hospitality. After my welcome drink which was a beautiful blend of sugarcane juice, apple juice and cinnamon, I checked into my accommodation.
I opted for an extremely spacious family villa which had 2 bedrooms with attached washrooms, a cloakroom, an outdoor rain shower, a separate bath tub and a living area which opened to a sitting verandah with a well manicured lawn and a mini pool.
Other accommodation options include suites and villas including beachfront villas with pools, beachfront senior suites with pools and two and three bedroom pool villas each more luxurious than the other. Feeling famished, I headed to sample some Mauritian cuisine and the delicious palm heart salad, catch of the day which was grilled fish and desserts be it coconut panna cotta with banana marmalade or fresh fruits served with lemon sorbet had guests rubbing their tummy with glee.
