30 May 2015: As a part of the Family Fun Adventure initiative to promote Mauritius, MTPA India has sponsored a two part series, on NDTV Good Times, that will be telecast starting Friday, 5th June. Anchored by the TV stars Rocky & Mayur, this series is expected to be watched by millions of viewers in India and other countries including Mauritius.
After handing over the ‘keys to paradise” to Rocky & Mayur at Fort Adelaide, Director of MTPA, Dr. Karl Mootoosamy said, “Indian tourist arrivals have shown a tremendous growth of 21.7% from January to April 2015 as compared to a similar period last year. In order to continue this trend we have decided to get Rocky & Mayur to promote the magnificence of this country through a series on NDTV Good Times. The message that we wish to convey to the Indian traveller is that besides the beautiful beaches and scenic locations, Mauritius offers a lot of fun and adventure activities that make it an ideal destination for the entire family.”
Vivek Anand, Country Manager MTPA India added, “The two episodes, that were shot over a period of ten days in May, have Rocky & Mayur travelling all over the island and enjoying the gastronomic delights including a sunset dinner on the catamaran, indulging in spa treatment, going for adventure activities like SeaKart, Submarine, Scuba, Zipline and Quadbiking. They are also seen tasting the world famous Rhums, playing a round of Golf and enjoying an evening out at a night club.”
