People in Mauritius are celebrating the three-night-long Porlwi by Light festival of contemporary culture, from 2nd December to 4thDecember’16 at Port Louis in Mauritius. One can find artistic creations, sound and light installations, rich experiences and exhibitions at the festival, which will celebrate its people. The entire region is illuminated by a festival programme spread across the Island, featuring local and international artists. Travellers must be glad to know that the entire event is free for all to enjoy.
The main venues of the festival are The Port, Place d:Armes, Company Gardens, the Port Louis Theatre, the Old Prison, Aapravasi Ghat, the Granary, the Caudan Waterfront and the IBL Parking.
Street Art: During the festival, original murals and installations will revitalise the walls of the city. They are also lighting up Port Louis’ avenues, buildings and peculiar corners. People will also put up scintillating installations, and inventive and iridescent creations that reflect the festival’s spirit.
